MAILL Member Update

All members are reminded that during the spring/summer 2017 meeting we will be seeking a Vice Chair (Chair-Elect) and Treasurer. Please consider volunteering for one of these seats next year.

There are currently 42 standing members representing Special, Public & academic libraries in Maryland from as far west as Frostburg to the Eastern Shore. Our membership is open to resource sharing staff in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Attending members discussed how to grow our membership including being a presence at the upcoming ACRL conference next spring in Baltimore, sending more notes to ILL listservs in Maryland and DC.

MAILL board relies on member feedback and recommendations for all meetings and conference agendas. Please submit any recommendations and feedback to mdinterlibraryloan@gmail.com Feedback from our 2015 survey and recommendations from last summer’s conference helped shape our 2016 Fall Forum

Fall General Meeting, November 2015

Held at the Miller branch of the Howard County Library System, this very productive meeting resulted in changes to the Bylaws and the election of 2 new Board members.  A tour of the hub of  HCLS’s ILL services was given by ILL Supervisor, Beth Tribe.  We give thanks to Beth and all of the helpful and indulgent staff members of the Miller branch of the HCLS!!!

This summer conference was a big success!
